Hometown :
Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada.
Favorite rivers :
- The Petite Nation River — where I spent most of my time learning.
- The Madawaska — where I discovered what community really means.
- The Coulonge — my first real river trip.
- Rivière à Simon — where I realized solo whitewater canoeing was the thing I loved most.
And the Brock River in Tuktut Nogait — a place I hope to return to one day.
Favorite boats :
The Prospecteur 16 is where it all began — and it still handles everything we throw at it. I loved my Echo for its stability and versatility. Later, I had the chance to paddle the Vertige X and the Pocket Canyon — these four canoes gave me the confidence I needed to grow on whitewater.
These days (2025), you’ll likely find me in an eddy with my L’Edge Super Lite or Ocoee. Off the whitewater, the Cargo or Rangeley with an electric motor makes for the perfect relaxing trip.
Most memorable moment on water :
Probably the 5-day trip down the Coulonge River with my girlfriend and my dad — a military helicopter flew over us right at Die Hard Rapids (of all places). Or the time my friend Derik Lawlis guided me through my first Class III rapid on the Petite Nation River.
